My family and I have lived and worked in West Seattle for 22 years. Studying Occupational Therapy I became fascinated with movement from a developmental perspective. For instance, did you know that rotation is the last movement pattern to develop and the first one we lose as we age? Yet movement is as unique as the individual and based on so many factors including a person’s structure, personality, culture, activities, etc.
Promoting quality movement through bodywork and play are passions of mine. I love all kinds of creative movement including dancing, yoga, pilates, roller blading.
I am always on the lookout for intergenerational play and learning opportunities in and around the Seattle area. In our busy society leisure time is a rare commodity and so many activities separate kids and adults rather than creating a welcoming and playful setting for all. Truly my happiest times are when I am playing with my friends and their families. If you know of any family friendly classes or events in and around the Seattle area feel free to email me at [email protected].
